Which worktops are available in bright colours?

Ten years ago in most standard laminate worktop ranges you could find the odd worktop with blues or greens in them, or at least hints of blues or greens. Other than red quartz effect laminate which is still available and popular today, there are virtually no coloured standard ready-made worktops. Most laminate worktops today can be sorted into categories such as plain white, plain grey, stone effect, granite effect, marble effect, wood effect. The only reason for this is popular demand. The vast majority of future worktop purchasers will buy a worktop from one of these categories.

But sometimes it is nice to stand out from the crowd. Rather than buying one of these tried and tested “safe” options you could really put your own mark on your new kitchen by choosing a plain colour with no speckles or pattern. Many manufacturers produce a plain grey or plain white colourway, but why not go for a primary or pastel colour? It can take a little courage to make this big step, but the end results can be quite stunning. If you are not confident enough to add a blaze of colour to your horizontal work surface then why not add a smaller splash of vertical colour by using coloured laminate splashbacks or upstands? Dozens of different colours are available in the Custom Formica kitchen worktop range, Polyrey, Resopal and Egger ranges so click on the link or phone us for free advice. All the colours are available as worktops and matching splashbacks and upstands. Here are some colour scheme suggestions:
