Measuring kitchen worktops in metres or feet and inches

All our laminate worktops are available in set sizes that are measured in metres and millimeters. e.g. 4100mm length is a standard length for most Axiom, Duropal, Getalit, Bushboard Options, Prima and Omega finishes.

If you are trying to calculate how many and which size worktops or breakfast bars you may require for your installation, always do this in metres and millimeters. All British building industry tradesmen use this system; it is probably best to try to avoid mixing metres with centimetres because this can introduce confusion.

You will always need to order slightly more worktop than you need as there will always be a certain amount of wastage when the worktops are cut to length and as the mason’s mitre joints are made.
